What a weird world do we live in?
Just let people do whatever they want, put all extremists in an isolated place and let them rot there.

Journalists jailed in Azerbaijan

Two journalists were jailed, because of publishing an article of which Muslims say it insults Islam.
They got four / three years in prison for that
Freedom of Speech?

Paris Hilton would deserve this, not her 45 days that she probably will never have to do anyway.
She did some more drinking and driving while on probation. They say, she has no chance of an early release. Well, we will see
I don’t know, why I even mention her, but it seems so absurd to see those two journalists jailed for so long and her compared to that…..

Sending illegal workers out

Iran deported about 36.000 illegal Afghan workers in the last 10 days regarding to BBC

Kuwait cleaned up the front yard quite a bit too.
They tightened their laws and many people had to leave.
But they seem to have done it in a more civilized way, it seems.
Not that I know much about it.
They at least left the people time enough to take care of family issues and other things before getting out.
Correct me, if I’m wrong in any way and in case you know more about it, please let me know.

My taxi driver told me the story of one of these workers yesterday. That guy struggled to get his Baby out of Kuwait.
His working Visa over here didn’t allow him to have any kids. They got a Baby nonetheless. Now, to get the Baby out of the country as well, he was supposed to pay 600 KD (over 2100,/ US $) for the Visa that he didn’t have for the Baby (you need to pay a fee for each day you are in the country without a Visa) regarding to the court decision. Sure enough he doesn’t have that kind of money. With help of immigration office and his employer they sorted it out and after 3 months of struggle he managed to get his papers signed and stamped yesterday, so he can leave the country with his family.

Iran hat, laut BBC, in den letzten 10 Tagen ca. 36.000 illegale Afghanische Arbeiter ausgewiesen

Kuwait hat den Vorgarten ebenfalls gesaeubert.
Sie haben Ihre Gesetze in bezug auf illegale Arbeiter und Einwanderer ebenfalls verschaerft und viele Menschen mussten das Land verlassen.
Nicht, dass ich viel darueber weiss.
Aber wenigstens scheinen sie den Menschen mehr Zeit gelassen zu haben, private Dinge zu regeln, bevor sie raus mussten.
Korrigier mich bitte, wenn ich etwas falsches schreibe und falls Du mehr darueber weisst, lass es mich bitte wissen.

Mein Taxifahrer hat mir gestern die Geschichte eines Arbeiters hier erzaehlt. Der Mann hatte ziemlich darum zu kaempfen, sein Baby aus diesem Land heraus zu bekommen. Sein Arbeitsvisa war nur fuer ihn und laut diesem Visa durfte er hier keine Kinder haben. Hat er aber.
Nun, um das Kind aus Kuwait heraus zu bekommen sollte er laut Gericht eine Strafe (oder besser Nachzahlung fuer das Visa) von 600 KD (umgerechnet ca. 2100,- US $) zahlen. Die hatte er natuerlich nicht. Die Einwanderungsbehoerde und sein Arbeitgeber haben ihm wohl nun geholfen und nach nochmaligem Vorsprechen beim Gericht, darf er nun das Land mit Kind verlassen.
